Hello I was wondering if anyone could help me I was on my way to work this morning when I got a phone call from my boss saying I needed to go to a different job.

Anyway as I come round the corner there was a police camera van there, allthough I was doing the speed limit I was obviously on my phone

Would the speed camera van of flashes me being on the phone as I was doing the speed limit

I know I should not of been on the phone regardless of the circumstances in the first place so if I do get caught I will take the punishment

Seeing as your were not speeding, and that's what the vans are focusing on I reckon you'll be ok on this one.

God I hope so only been driving a year so don't want 3 points allready lol thank you for the help

If you pull over at the nearest safe place & take the call or phone them back, it will save you a lot of hassle in the long run, as the Police/Courts will take a very dim view of any use of the phone, using bluetooth or not if your involved in an rti.

It also saves the stress of worrying about points or fines or worse.

If the phone rings you haven't got to immediately answer the bloody the call !!±!!

Don't put your ass on the line for your employer. If they haven't given you the necessary equipment to use your phone in the car, then the call gets to wait until you stop somewhere safe. Don't be afraid to tell them that, they can't expect you to break the law for them. I've had to say something similar a few times for other things and never had a problem.

If nothing comes of it, consider it an easy lesson and don't do it any more.

As you haven't been driving long, do you have the correct level of business insurance for your car? Remember commuting only covers travel to a single fixed place of work. If you have a prang on your way between sites you may find your insurance void if you haven't got the right level of cover.

Good to see you realise the error of phone use whilst driving... But rather than think about getting caught..or getting points. ... Think about how you would feel causing harm or injury because of it... THAT should be the reason why you don't do it...
