On the top right corner of my Columbus unit I've noticed a small circle next to the microphone button. Any ideas what it is?

Does the display brightness change depending on the ambient light? My current Exeo seems to go brighter when there is a lot of light

^^^ That's exactly what it is: ambient light sensor.

Put your finger over it on a bright day and the screen should slowly dim. I say should as it is firmware dependent.
