A million mile Mondeo!

'Original engine' does that just class it as the original block with a completely rebuilt engine around it?! :D

If it is genuine and only ever have a recon gearbox then that is pretty amazing

The most ive ever known is VW Sharon taxi (which to my knowledge is still going) on 800,000

Fair play to that car although sounds like its had some very gentle open road miles but even so. Went in a 60 plate octavia taxi the other day that had done 130k and it was falling apart and seemed completely sha***d.

Lovely story that, and just goes to show that a high mileage car isn't necessarily a bad thing......even for a Ford.

That would probably be worth more than one with 50k on the clock, simply due to its uniqueness.

I think its only just worn in then. :D

Old school 1.8 turbo diesel, doubtful a modern day diesel would manage it

I don't know so much, the 2.0 & 2.2 tdi I units in our work S-Max's are going strong.

I wouldn't class a 15 year old engine as that 'old school' tbh

The 1.8td engine is old school compared to modern diesel engines, its a good strong engine if a little tractor like, its been fitted to fords since the early 80's.

Tddi is endura based and tdci is modern.
