312 mm Brakes Will they Fit!!!

Featured Replies

Just been down to a small local independent VW/Audi specialist (allegedly) to see how much it would cost to fit these brakes and he has told me "Audi TT brakes WILL NOT fit a Fabia vRS" Will they Fit???? If so anyboby willing to fit mine for me. :) I can travel (within reason ) and will pay in Beer tokens LOTS OF!!  :dtp: :dtp: :dtp:

They WILL and DO fit. They are the same brakes as an octy vRS, Audi S3, Leon Cupra, Golt GTI 25th and many others.

That's what I thought. I read up on them before I ordered off Golfturbo...mmmmmmm......... So called specialists eh!!...Cheers Mate my mind is at rest?

If they haven't done it before they are really wary of taking something on, probably trying to say they didn't want to do the work, my local VAG specialist was dubious over doing the work initially but they said it was a doddle!

Cheers Steve......Did you recieve my envelope?

I'm sure you've seen the pics of mine on here and on Steve's Ebay add. Perhaps you should drop a copy by the workshop for them.

The job isn't hard and should only take someone an hour or so. Find an indepedant mechanic and arm yourself with as much info about it as you can. I'll even give you my mobile number if you want incase there are any emergency questions while at the garage.

Once my Big Brakes are fitted, is there any ajustment to the ECU or ABS due to the bigger Brakes or will everything be ok  ....Plug and Play so to speak :)

No
Plug and Play so to speak :)
Yep, apart from bedding in the new pads as per the instructions (depends on which type of pad you're having fitted)

HTH :D

Cheers............I'll be fitting the standard pads that come with the disc's

It'll take a couple of hundred miles for the pad/disks to bed so treat them gently. I am led to believe the EBD will sort it's self out after a few miles.

Mine is fine.

I fitted the first set of 312mm brakes to a Fabia vRS iirc.

I'm allways here for advice or availalbe to fit 312mm brakes, reasonable rates.
