petrol vapour smell in cabin!

Sometimes at low speed or sitting still i get the smell of petrol vapour in cabin, ive looked around engine bay and exterior and cant smell any vapour, seems to be coming through air vents. Any ideas guys?

no my charcoal canister is all still plumbed in and standard.

Even a tiny amount of petrol can create a strong smell, so it could be a very slow drip from a fuel line / fuel pump or fuel filter.

Pipes that go to the charcoal canister are a common 'split' point.

Found the the plastic nipple on the cannister where the plastic convoluted hose attaches had snapped off! Had traces of glue on it so previous owner must have repaired it. Now glued back on!

Aha! I broke that part on mine and it was fixed with tape for a couple of years before I removed the cannister completely.
