Any Wedding Photographer's around?

Featured Replies

Hi all,

Just wondered if anyone on here knows of any good photographers that do weddings for reasonable money in the Portsmouth area (or willing to travel) for my wedding next July?

I'd not do a wedding for love nor money lol

realistically I'd do it for

also, try and get the cd with digital copies at full resolution.

Thanks guys. I think we have found the right one now. SWMBO chose one. His previous pistures are really good and he's not over expensive. Was thinking about getting the cd, but he wants

As sad as this sounds, in this day & age of personal digital cameras, the need for a wedding photographer is declining. OK, perhaps not for the offical shots of bride & family, but for the general atmosphere, people's random shots are often better.

My mate's wedding in Canada was like that. Had a lady going around taking photo's yet when it came down to it, a couple of photo's I had were better. Its just a matter of being in the right place at the right time, and with so many people taking pocket digitals to weddings, the likelihood of this happening is increased.

Not taking anything away from the professionals as they produce some damn good work with the right gear and setting. Just in a "party" atmosphere its often the thousands of shots taken by numerous cameras that produce a quality shot. :)

Thats why I have been looking to save money on a photographer. I think you need one to get the group shot's, but I am planning to put disposable camera's around for people to take pics etc..

My mate recently got married and some of the pics I got were much better then the photographer's but I wouldnt have got them if he wasnt there mardhing people around. :)

I wonder how many photos he puts on the CD for that.

it's probably ones you can print

Bit late in the day, but I thought I'd mention her anyway as she did an excellent job and lives in Fareham :D
