Anti hijack locking

Featured Replies

I can only presume thats whats been enabled in my octy.

As i set of and get over 10/15mph it locks the doors, as expected.

But it randomly unlocks and when slowing down below 10/15 which would surely be pointless?

It is dodgy or has something else been enabled too?

Not sure but when I enabled it on mine there was another tick I had to add for the unlock when taking the key out, so maybe that has been missed as mine works as normal and only unlocks when I take the key out

It shouldn't randomly unlock so something is amiss there!

Sounds like a safety issue too.  Should be 'clunk, click, every trip' (as ex-saint J**** S****** used to tell us), not 'clunk, click, un-clunk every trip'

Sounds like exactly the same as the problem I had with the car.

Took it back to the dealer as it was still under warranty and they identified it as a faulty ignition switch.

Replaced it and problem solved!

Other symptoms we had were flickering dash lights while sat with the ignition off and sidelights on.

Ah, i dont have any other issues.

Just turn it off i think.

Its as if its set for above 15mph. Anything less it unlocks.

There's definitely a fault as you can't set it to unlock again when you go under the speed.

It should stay locked until you remove the key from the ignition.

If it is a faulty switch it should show a code on a scan.

It could also be a dodgy door switch.
