Today saw Simeon come over to visit Alan (blueR36). Plan was for Simeon to tackle some wiring on Alan's .:R36 for an HD dash camera install; then Alan and myself would get on with detailing Simeon's Superb!

 

Great Briskoda Community spirit - one good turn deserves another 

 

 

The Superb was rinsed down, snowfoamed and then left to dwell, rinsed again then finally washed with Meg's Gold Class.

The alloys and lower body panels were all de-tarred by myself. Alan then cracked on with a good polish and paint cleanse.

 

I don't have much detail on the DA pads and compunds used; Alan can add detail later if required.

But for sure - the paint was heavily contaminated and the pads needed cleaning part way through this stage.

 

Once the polishing was complete - i followed Alan round and waxed the car with R222 Concours Wax.

 

Simeon then got to work with the vac and hoovered out the interior and mats.

 

Chrome and exhausts were brought back to life with some Autosol. I then applied a 2nd coat of R222.

 

All in almost 4 hours work start to finish..... pics of the results below....  thanks for looking.

I had been wondering what wax Alan may choose on the day! Great choice indeed mate... I was thinking of fk1000p as a good bet, but R222 was an inspired decision!

The results were spot on as the pictures show.

I offered to detail his car in return for some adjustments...like speedo in mph etc......

Btw Alan - as you said you have killed a couple of DA pads this week.... 

i've set aside a couple of the 6" pad twin packs i was telling you about which i use.

 

Bargain purchase and have worked well when detailing our cars at home 

They perform well and wash great too.... great for minor polish and glaze work.

 

Let me know about the freebie samples i left with you on Friday as well.

I'm interested to know your opinion on those 3 products in particular.
