WINDSCREEN SCREEN WASHER JET

Featured Replies

Hi All,

I have noticed my jet heads are not performing that great especially the passenger side. I have tried moving the heads up and down to see if this helps but no joy. Is this something a good clean should sort out or should I just buy new ones?

Regards

Mat

You could remove them and soak in vinegar to remove limescale deposits, but tried cleaning mine with no effect and ended up buying new ones for a few quid.

Do you use screen wash suitable for fan jets?

Thats a good question?

Are they easy to remove? I would have a look but my other half has the car

Easyish.

Be careful with the clips that hold the pipes onto the jets.

Do you need to remove the wiper arms to remove the black trim or can you do it from under the trim leave the arms on?

I don't recall removing anything in order to change the washer nozels! I'll check tomorrow.

They're very easy to remove and take next to no time to replace. I had a problem with one of mine and after attempting to clean it, decided to replace it.

The only problem I had was that the nozzle on my car, a 56 plate Elegance, was of the VW Passat design and not the usual Octavia type.

Once I had identified which type was required, it was very easy to replace. I got mine from a local dealer for a couple of quid and I'd advise you pay them a visit so that they can supply you with the correct part.
