Skoda Fabia Stereo Code?

Featured Replies

Ive just taken my aftermarket stereo out of the car and temporarily replaced it with the original. Went to key in the safe code and it told me it was wrong. Im certain that the code i have is correct and that this is the code as i have had to use it before (first job on my car when i bought it was a battery swap.

Can anyone advise on what to do next? Really dont fancy having to pay skoda for another code for a stereo that will end up coming iut again, but i am planning in selling the car original so i do sort of need it to work.

Picture added of what i think the code is.

Jack M

I could swear the code is in your car paperwork somewhere, mine always was as i never saw it on the radio iteself

Are you sure it needs a code?

The original should be coded to the ECU, and only should need the code if moved to another car.

This wasnt on the stereo itself, its on a little tag that came with all the paperwork. And im certain, its in SAFE mode at the minute. This isnt the Symphony stereo, its the crappy cassette stereo that comes with the classic (poverty) specced fabia.

As above. The code may already be stored in the car.

Try just leaving the car and stereo switched on for a while.

That might be your SKC for your immobiliser login.

My code is in the front cover of the symphony instruction manual, with the paperwork pack.

I will have a look in the book after work today and see if I can find anything in it.

*EDIT* I know I have the code somewhere as I have had to code it in before. Couple of hours and I will have chance to see. Thanks for all the comments so far :)

Jack I found my local Skoda dealer just did the code for me when I popped in unexpectedly with a bit of sweet talking, might just be easier if you've got a good relationship with your local Skoda.

I have also used one of those ebay code services.

Had the code within the hour and only cost £6.
