  • Dual fog light conversion on rear!

  • Continuing the theme, it always niggled me that when new in the early 2000's if you bought a Mk1 Octavia Vrs you had a full size alloy spare wheel but the equivalent new Fabia vRS it came with a full

  • I'm hoping to put one together for the USB so watch this space.

Took off JOMs and put on eibach lowering springs, feels like I'm riding in a Rolls Royce phantom (I can only imagine I can't say I've ever been in one :D )now it's that smooth, just a shame it offends my eyes :(

5 brake lights instead of the normal 3, converted the rear fog lamp bulbs to work at brake lights too but still work at fog lamps when required and side lights too!

Few little things I've got.

Drive recorder wired in to come on with ignition

Everything else I've done is more major!

How did you do that? Which cam did you use, did you follow a guide for the wiring etc?

Not too difficult get a multi power outlet take the positive and negative from that and feed it into the fuse box area ( keep multi socket in cubby box) run the positive from a switched live with a piggyback fuse and 5 amp fuse then put a fork on negative and attach to bolt above fuse box! I ran mine off of fuse 12 on the Fabia! Run drive cam cable through pillars etc down to connector!

The "night" interior light from a superb / bore I think. Dimly lights the cab up on a dark night lol.

The lupo cup holders. I like them, sturdy and are not too in the way while driving :)

+1.. I'd like to have this but I know I wouldnt be up to the challenge of wiring! Great stuff though, I'd REALLY like LED lights on the rear, every bulb as led like Korban's vRS for those who are familiar with him! Took him ages to get it all right though apparently..

Sure! I'll sort one out in the morning!

to save faffing about with din, double din, fascia plates etc, best mod ever is a tape to 3.5mm adaptor. MP3s through the OEM tape deck. Keeps it OEM too :dull:

Here we are : this is at your own risk etc!

Parts needed :

12v multi adaptor

Fork Connector

Mini piggyback fuse holder

5a mini fuse

1) Remove fuse box cover

2) pull down cubby pocket by right knee so OBD port is visible

3)I drilled a hole to feed wires through but I was being quick so there might already have been a hole in place!

4) Remove fuse 12 and put piggyback fuse holder in to socket 12 with the wire facing towards the back of the car! Take fuse 12 and put in the inner slot of the piggyback and a 5 amp fuse in the outer!

5) Take the end (12v plug) of the multi plug apart and have the wire going to the middle of the plug marked as positive and the one going to the outer spring marked as negative! Cut these wires and strip them

6) Feed this through the hole and crimp positive to the piggyback fuse holder! Undo the hex bolt above the fuses slightly! Crimp a fork connector on to the negative wire and slot to this and tighten! Now run cable to side of cubby and then feed the dash cam wire through headlining and down A pillar and into the cubby hole (I fed this through fuse box too) check it all works okay and put cover back on fuse box.

Quality cheers mate!

Any tips on the specific cameras which turn on automatically with the ignition? i was looking at the Oitex GizPro mainly due to the fifth gear test.

or connects2 if using a Symphony unit

I have this :)

Parrot kit and wind deflectors have both been good simple mods for me. I've also got led plate lights and I'm thinking of fitting LED sift lights and interior lights. Also I need silver indicator bulbs

Quite easy really, you need 2 meters of wire and 2 1 way diodes that have the correct amp rating took me about 20 mins to do it correct to hide all wires and heat shrink

It's what happens when you leave me along I do random stuff

Not to everyone's taste but the big old air filter. Love the chatter it makes when I let off, sounds like a wastegate on a petrol turbo :)a8ajaja7.jpg

You got a video of this mate?

Ollie

I have this :)

I was thinking of getting the Connects2. Can you still use the inbuilt symphony CD player with the connects installed?

Thanks  :)

Just a little thing, but i stuck a rear wiper from a polo on there last night, as the standard one is crap. I'll see how it does in the rain.

USB charger in the glove box would be good too, and i'm tempted to remove the rub strips on the doors too.

Yes. The single CD will still work.

It's already been answered but just for clarification, it replaces your 6 CD auto changer if you have one, guessing if you dont the port is simply free to plug into anyway?! Cheers :)
