Odd sign on onboard computer?

Featured Replies

I think it's my washer fluid level warning but wanted to check- it's 2 little things that look like hills when I start to drive and they disappear after a mile or so. It's next to the odometer on the trip computer and has just come on.

they are the warnings for the rear seatbelts,

if either of the belts are fastened then you will get a line across them to show the belt is on the person in the rear belt

this happens every time you start the car or the seat belts are fastened or removed, safety feature to warn you if your little darlings or your mum try to sneak there belt off :)

try it and see

As above.... I couldnt figure it out at first either..... resorted to...

the manual........................

These cars don't give many warnings about anything. You don't even get a bulb out warning let alone low washer fluid :(

annoying low petrol warning

Outside temp drops below 4c.......bing, or is it a bong.

No bings, bongs or dongs but - little change up gear change indicator that comes on waaay too soon in my view..

I get the warning sign even when I have no passenger in the back, is this right? It's only just started coming on! Even when I've had people in the back I haven't noticed it coming on.

Yes it's ok as in the first post, they show then disappear after a short distance. If you have passengers in the back then they must fasten their belts or the symbol(s) will still show, I can't remember if there is any sound from that also.

page 22 in the manual

There's another that I've had show, ESC "stabilisation control" in shows when you drive it on the limits :D which I don't do really. It's just that if you try to pull away in the wet too rapidly or say negotiate an island in the wet and start to lose grip it will tell you.

I did check the manual but as I hadn't seen it before thought I'd double check :)

Must have just ignored it before!

Thanks

its not an in your face sort of symbol, i didnt notice it for the first few weeks of driving ours either.

You tend to notice these things as you go along, and typical of us  men we never read the manual  cus we think we know it all.

Not the usual seatbelt sign then?

Thank you bluecar1, you made it very easy for me to find.  You did all the hard work and I grabbed the glory; I'm not proud. :(
