Reversing Lights

Featured Replies

recently my rear reversing lights are not working, i changed the bulbs and checked the fuse and still nothing. i heard there is some sort of sensor that screws into the top of the gearbox? could someone confirm this or give me a solution to the problem pleaseee :)

Check your reverse light switch, it is probably a snapped wire. It is located in the gearbox underneith the airfilter box in the engine.

Sorry to hijack the thread, does anyone have a part number for the switch please? Mine has also died.

No part number but I got one cheaply from Euro car parts using my reg and it was fine.

Turns out one of the wires has worn out and snapped. The wiring harness is a bit on the short side and gets excessively flexed when starting and stopping the engine, etc. I'm going to extend the wires and put a new connector then it won't flex the wires as much. Anyone know what wire type I should use?

you should be able to get a new connector and wires from your local dealer
