does anyone have any idea which oil I should be using for my engine as I cant actually find my user manual to tell me. thanks

5w30 suitable for DPF - 507 spec.

 

Castrol Edge or Quantum Longlife are often used.

Pop to your dealer and get some Castrol Edge professional 5w-30

cheers boys a local garage serviced it when I brought it of them do you think theyd of been good enough to put the correct oil in it?

also whilst im here wheres the cheapest anyone has found the Castrol edge? im getting huge price variances and just wondered?

Edge should be well priced in your dealer. Ask the garage what they used. It seems many stock a couple of standard oils and then just use one of those. If you get the wrong oil the risk is that the dpf will clog up very VERY quickly.

weve covered over 5k in 3 months and checked oil every 5 days, no drops in level and no issues with dpf at all. so assuming its good stuff he used!
