Soon to be new owner with a question - central locking

Featured Replies

Hi All

I'm soon to take delivery of a Rapid Elegance 1.2 TSi (2013) and wondered if anyone can tell me if it is possible to activate the "anti-hijacking" feature of the central locking?

On our other car (Yeti) it is possible to activate "auto locking" above walking pace, via the Maxidot. The Maxidot on the Rapid however seems to be lacking several of the entries included in the Yeti system.

I'm currently downloading the Rapid manual, but wondered if anyone can advise in the meantime.

Yes. Mine was activated when I bought mine so I suspect yours will. If not it's a quick job for your dealer via VCDS

Many thanks, hopefully it will be activated when I collect the car.

do you mean the car locks itself when you each about 6 miles/hour?  It should come with that already on mine did   the lock smble on the buttons lights up to show it has and it's easily heard.  When the car ingition is turned off the Maxidot trip thing tells you locking disenabled consult owners manual.
