I guess I detect a scimitar fetish. . . always liked the GTE and the guy who lives opposite has an early one. He has rebuilt it all bar the body and I keep thinking it could be a nice little project

I got into them as they're pretty much the perfect starter classic - mega cheap, no rust to worry about unlike the usual BL stuff, cheap parts and good to drive.

Looks to be an se5a I think but haven't had a close look yet as we only moved in a few weeks ago. Apparently he got so far with the rebuild and then turned his attention to his e type instead. He does run the GTE every now and then though and it does sound good and judging by the e type he'll have done a good job on it
