Now I have the 2011 Polo GTI (i know not a skoda) but I share the same engine. Has anyone here had ANY work done by VW/Skoda and it is either sorted or slowed down the issue?

 

I've read that using 5w40 or 0w40 can be better for the car and that there are new oil jets that can be fitted?

 

The reason being I topped up with oil back in april with 1 ltr of 5w30 castrol and since doing 370 miles the dipstick is at half....

Even out of Warranty or on an Extended or After Market Warranty best get onto VW UK and see what they are going to do,  Breather Pipe Valve Mod Latest / ECU Update/ Oil Spray Jets,

or the right thing and fit a new engine for you.

Thats what I thought. I am going to call them tomorrow and see what they say, I got this car as a replacement for a Mondeo which was causing me problems, don't want it to start all over again lol.

 

I have a 3 year warranty with Warrantywise so I have some back up incase of a warranty claim.
