KW V1 replacement shocks

Featured Replies

My shocks on the front have gone, giving me a stupidly bouncy ride :( Does anyone know how much (roughly) replacement shocks will be for a 6Y fabia vrs?

I am just thinking of buying some JOMs as I'm sure the parts will be stupidly priced now that KW have bumped their prices up :/

Cheers

Speak to dpm. He can sort of replacements. Not cheap as you have to buy complete new struts.

Are you sure on that John?

As I've just had my fronts off due to a knocking noise, and it was the shock insert loose in the coilover body :)

The locking cup/ring thing on the top had come loose.

Removed the insert for a nosey and there is a part number on the insert, so I would be disappointed if KW did not offer a replacement insert.

Part number on my inserts:

610 80 027

8010GK

0408

Part number on body:

800 1011

10382 100

BHZ101.

These are KW V1 Inox :)

I seem to recall when I was searching for some spare part's for my KW's I stumbled on the KW site when you could send them off for a refurb and I'm sure the price was £70 per strut.

Yeah just inserts so I reached out to a couple of places. Both said kw won't replace just the insert but only the whole strut :( So I'm taking a different route when I come round to replacing my suspension :)

Iirc the kwv3 I had you could return them to kw for overhaul servicing.

Not that expensive really. But then your without suspension.
