I'm having a problem starting the car after it has been parked up overnight or during work time. I got told it was the battery so stupid me, went out and bought a new one to discover I am still getting this problem.

Please can someone point in the right direction as to what this problem is and how to fix it?

Symptoms? Model of car? Age? Clues would be good.

Fabia vRS — 06 plate.

When I turn the key to start the engine (only at the times specified above) it just makes a sort of clicking sound then eventually the engine will start.

Did the new battery seem to solve the problem for a few days, but then you were back to the same problem? Or was it no better immediately? 

Starter motor wiring!

 

Get the wiring feed looked at.  Been there, done that.

Cheers mate. Will do. Everyone I've spoke to has said something to do with the starter motor.
