EDIT:  Ooops, sorry just realised it is YOUR company car as opposed to A company car so ignore that post (which I have deleted now)

Just pump the details on autotrader and see what pops up,

Beware though dealers inflate the prices, you can still find 58 plate cars with askings of over 10K,

Try selling one to a dealer and the prices become more in line with true value, i'e they will want yours for 8K and then ask 12K for it,

Push your number plate through Webuyanycar and that is a baseline bottom value, deduct £500 off their figure and that's about what you want to pay for the car.

£11,000 - £12,000

Smack the info into "We buy any car" or similar at least you can see rock bottom.

My old company sold off the end of lease vehicles to staff, if they asked and they literally went for pennies or somewhere close to the trade price to clear the remaining outstanding cost of the car.

On used car expert.co.uk it shows £10-11k ish if I got the details right.

If you ask to buy it from a lease company you will have to pay a lot. My previous company cars have all gone to auction, if you ask on the day the car is collected which auction it is going to you can go and bid on it and save a lot of money.

We had a 320i touring that went back, lease plan wanted £8000ish for it, my uncle followed it to auction and bought the car for £5700, well worth a bit of leg work.

If it is owned by the company you work for, ask them to get a price off a valuation website and agree a deal.

Do a Google search for "Deltapoint".... Its the car valuation done by autotrader and can be adjusted for mileage.... When i was looking for mine this last few months it seemed to be the most accurate of all the valuation sites.

Cheers

Dave.

Thanks for the tip all - very useful.

If the company own the car then ask at your local dealer what the P/X price would be and offer that.

I am considering doing the same with my Superb Greenline SE on a 62 plate when its hits 100k in around 4-5 months.

I think it will go for £5-6000.
