Hi guys

 

My current standard intercooler on my 1.8t vrs has developed a boost leak so im weighing up my options.

 

A: Replace with standard intercooler

B: Replace with uprated standard fit intercooler

C: Go the whole hog and go for FMIC

 

Can anyone share their opinions / experiences not only in fitting but in the finished result too, also what are the best fmic kits on a budget.

 

any help would be greatly appreciated

direct fit, no hassle..

 

but if you want more than say 220hp than i FMIC might be a better choice probably. 

 

Intercooler from a golf with the AUM engine is bigger part number ending in 803F.

If you plan on going stage 2 then just go for the front mount

...

Personally my money would go on a second hand replacement oem intercooler unless you have power upgrades planned.
