247 BHP on a standard VRS

Shame, the exhaust does sound very interesting, and the dyno element too, for rough comparison.

Banksie, as said before, there are many that are interested, me included.

Out of interest, how much torque did the car make on your runs, stock I believe is 258flbt, would be good if the car was also pulling 280flbt with that 246bhp!!

No probs chaps, will still keep you informed of developments, including the dyno traces, (inc torque), when finished and exhaust costs.

When is the exhaust work due to be finished, on the car and tested?

Should be done by this Thursday. Might not get pictures etc onto forum til early next week due to work commitments this weekend, but will post as soon as possible.

Pictures and videos! Need to see what a vrs really sounds like :-)

I have made few runs to 60mph today on the way back home. Got a new app, it seems to be reliable. I can make better times with sport mode but with D mode for DSG in S there is too much wheelspin. road was not very good and straight.

Any word on the system, my car will be back on saturday with the milltek system fitted so i will see what that is kicking out.

Don't nearly all the 0-60mph apps use a tilt sensor in the phone rather than gps? I remember testing one at home and just by tilting the phone forward with my bum firmly on the sofa moving 0mph and it said I was doing over 100mph.

Having said that I've done 0-60mph runs with a VBox timer and GPS system and with a tuning box attached to the car I'm achieving 0-60 times of 6.6 quite consistently and that's with the TDI vRS.

Is that with the one foot rollout set?

It's quite often the standard option you have to disable and it does bring the time down.

It's on there to allow for drag racing where you break a timing beam a short distance in front of the car.

Just for info. :)

Mmm I assumed (maybe wrongly) it wasn't set for a one foot rollout as it's used by a track racer and I told him what I wanted it for and asked him to set everything for me but I will ask and if so I will try and borrow it again one weekend.

Thanks for the heads up.

If he is a track racer he'll probably know if you just ask.

Save the hassle. :)

Sorry I mean't if when I ask it turns out he set it with a 1 foot rollout I will borrow it again to see what I get.

Just checked and it definitely wasn't set with a 1 foot rollout so it's as accurate a measurement as I'm likely to get.

I've found a few calculators online* and by entering your BHP, Kerb Weight, Transmission and Drive type it gives you a 0-60 target based on some sort of equation and stats. I'm above my target (I'm slower) than what it says I could do it in (fractions of a second) so it can't be too unrealistic as I'm by no means an expert at my gear changes and positive it could be faster if driven by a more capable driver...any volunteers?

*The calculator seems accurate and if entering the original bhp of my car (184) it is roughly (0.3 seconds out) what I was getting before although not measured using the same device.

Jings need to try again, mine doesn't feel as quick as sub 7

What app are you using? I've got Torque Pro but i only managed a 6.4 on a mk2 remapped tsi :|

Whatever you do don't use 1/4mile timer app
