Just thought I would share with you, iv just returned my spider alloys as they look horried before.

Hope you like the look of them

For the set I used

2 cans of grey primer

2 cans of satin black for a base colour

0.5ltr of audi grey water based

1 ltr of scratch restiance lacquer

I bet they look a lot better than before, is that not all that matters.

 

Don't take this as a criticism but I wouldn't have gone for the gloss black however as it really shows even the most slight imperfection, but I think you did a good job for a home refurb to get them as good as possible without having them fully refurbed.

With that finish you are giving yourself a very high bar to reach, but they really don't look bad at all now.

 

Matte look with gunmetal is a bit more forgiving on imperfections, mine need doing again and I've got a can of the e-tech to refresh mine again

Shame it's not gloss black

It's audi pearl gun metal grey, just lighting in my shed prob didn't help,

I have spent a week prepping them ready for this back to bare metal for a lot of it.

I don't do matt colours I want deep gloss finish on my wheels.

Well I had the primer in my shed from previous work. Lacquer I had too. Colour I had given to me for a favour just brought the black base coat, so a total of £8.50 lol

Bargain :D

i refurbed my old type r wheels , the sanding down is such a ****e job never doing that again , looks a good job though there mate and for £8.50 thats even better ha
