Smashed Wing Mirror

Featured Replies

Hi,

Well it was my own fault.. Too close to the garage door frame, ouch!

The net result is the LH wing mirror is smashed. It looks as if this is a DIY job to put right, any advice from others that may have done a similar job.

Are there instructions anywhere?

Where best to get the parts, dealer or aftermarket supplier?

Anything I should watch out for?

Any advice appreciated (apart from be careful next time).

Thanks

Mike

is it heated?

if yes then a dealer part, I not try Halfords

there are some instructions on here  think, cant remember where, try the fabia section as basically they are fabia mirrors

How about a breakers yard. Several up on eBay at the moment. I got my mirror taken clean off by a driver, and got it replaced at a dealers. It was over 300 including labour so there has got to be a cheaper alternative, as my car was about to go for its mot I didn't bother looking around, but if I would have had more time I would definitely tried them
