edit: well after clue number 2, it is confirmed, you didnt attach the roof rack properly and it fell, off...

Let me guess...something on roof rack...too high for something/or forgot it was on there....into garage...ripped off roof rack...scraps spoiler on way down?

spot on... you should see the damage to the bikes.... and the bright yellow Tesco car park barrier that said Max Headroom 7ft 6in... This is what you get when you had a towbar mounted rack on your previous Skoda
