does anyone know why my phone wont play music via the connection in the glovebox it connects to the bolero unit but just wont play?? samsung galaxy note2

Are you selecting the aux function?

Yeah selecting the aux input as i comes up saying my phone is connected but just says no media function on device

It won't work via USB only the Jack I'm guessing you are using a USB?

Yeah via the connection in the glove box....so what's the point of having it there if doesn't work??

It should connect via USB, you will then have the ability to control the player through the Bolero which you won't through the jack plug.

Not with a Android phone

U can put mp3s on a USB stick that will work but Android for some reason made it impossible for the device to be see as a certain type of storage device (I can't remember what it is called) that would allow it to work like this

That's makes sense that you can't do it with a android phone i guess it will just be iphone

Android handsets will only play music through the headphone socket, not the USB connection.

There's a USB in the glove box? 

 

Oh, must check when I get out of work to see if I have that option  

The only way would be if your phone was rooted.
