Should I buy one ?

Featured Replies

So, thinking of downsizing my 13 plate Audi A3 to a Citigo. This is for a number of reasons inc. up - speccing my wife's Fabia to a Yeti.

I do about 5k miles per year and travel 24 miles a day to work. A and B roads.

Quite fancy a Greentech Elegance or a Monte Carlo. Really want the sunroof so I will probably have to go for the Elegance. Would rather have the sport suspension but you can't have it all.

Any advice ?

Thanks folks ! :-D

The 75 Elegance greentech comes with lowered suspension as standard I think.  I might be wrong but isn't the greentech suspension the same as 'sports' suspension on the Monte…?

That was the case with the sport yes, so I doubt there has been any change to that with the Monte!

And yeah go for it the Citigo is a great car and for lower miles is perfect! I do about the same miles as you and get a good 60+ mpg daily :-)

Can you get the sunroof on the Sport and Monte ?

Yes. Citigo elegance of great little car.

After a test drive in a Sport  I decided to order a Monte Carlo but was quoted 5/6 months delivery what have you been quoted??

You couldn't on the sport no, and I don't think you can on he Monte, have you looked on the Skoda car configure online?

If it wasn't the need for a tip run car/towcar, I'd be getting one for an upcoming job move (with no company car); very easy to get approaching 60mpg in wifeys ASG and more than happy at motorway/A road speeds.

At this juncture (Monday 23rd June 2014) the Citigo Monte Carlo has very limited "extra equipment options" on the Skoda UK confugurator as shown below.  You can specify either a luggage net OR a variable boot floor but not both, a spare wheel and a safety pack.  That's it, nothing else at all!

The only other "care options" are the extended warranty and the service plan.

As other people have thought/mentioned, the "lowering" on the sport/monte is IDENTICAL to the Greentech "lowering" in the build-codes. There was a thread about this somewhere ages ago. :) Sounds like you'll be getting the best of both worlds.

If rather keep a 13 plate Audi A3 :)
