Yeah I got some heat wrap an metal cables ties, it might not be to much bother for some people but it's only 2 inchs wide an took all of 5 mins to wrap just thought engine movement would cause rubbing so rather then risking a hole for £10 an 5 mins I thought it's better to be safe then sorry.

The oversize replacement doesn't have the exact same angle as the standard tip so getting it on the standard air box is a bit more difficult but if u got a cai then u won't have any problems

The pancake replacement pipe is no longer near my drop link bolt I grinded off the thread that held the plastic shielding for the engine on an moved the pancake replacement pipe about an inch towards the front of the car I'll get some pics ASAP but it's pi**ing down :-)

The THS intercooler is def worth the money good quality just some slight adjustments needed because it is meant for a golf

Bowders1 I didn't understand what the op meant when he said oversized tip I thought he meant a tip for a ko4 turbo on his ko3s so was trying to imagine some kind of tapered coupler my mistake. I now no what I want and realise from reading your guide that I'm in for a battle as I'm running a standard setup with no simplifications, so lie kiss good my by to the skin on my knuckles and a whole day fitting it

Cheers, yeah i may go Seat LCR route with pipe over engine and loose that pancake pipe.

Already good job, normally they are made to order.

 

I pulled that white joiner out and blanked that hole as was not needed with all my deletes added.

Mines still got all his insides
