well it's a 10mm nut, tried to undo but just seems to keep turning, hoping someone else can throw some light on this , thanks

another update, it appears that if you give it half a turn it should release the panel, according to a skoda mechanic, not tried it that yet, will update

Finally sussed it, its a nut that turns in elongated slot, proball have to pop the bottom to clips first on the corners then tutn the nut untill it releases, better picture attached

Well made the plunge and removed both front door panels, and sound proofed with some material off amazon, 8 sheets for  £20 and it now sounds a lot better, more bass no vibration

To be fair the panels came off ok but just be aware that one off the door clips is fastened through the tweeter plate and if you not careful you can brake the clip holder like i did, superglue to the rescue

Did you take some photos? This would be good showing the door panel removal and where you added insulation ;<)

forgot to take photo's, but forgot to mention that there is a 3/4" thick fibre material that is spot glued to the door panel, this has to be removed first , I padded around the speaker grill and two big pieces on the top and lower plastic on the panel

I was doing this to upgrade the Head Unit but I won't bother now becuase it's sounds a lot better

The most annoying part about Skoda radios is they turn themselves down to avoid damaging the speakers !
