Octavia 1Z stream loom

Featured Replies

Hi all.

2 days ago someone broke my Octavia 1Z front right window to steal the stereo - as a bonus he found the gps I had inside the gear box.

I had a JVC 2 dyn stereo I put some years ago, so I still have the original Stream stereo at home, but the guy who stole the radio cut off the wires before the harness.

So I'm here asking if someone has a photo of the connectors so that I can identify which cables belong to which connectors.

I found this thread with the connectors but these are for Fabia, and if I remember correctly when I installed the JVC stereo some colors where different.

Can someone help me with this please? Does anyone have some photos of the connectors or some diagram with the colors?

Thanks in advance.

José

Ok, I put the stereo working now.

I found some diagrams that helped. This pic helped a lot

From this site - http://www.tehnomagazin.com/Auto-radio-car-connector/ISO-konektor.htm

But I'm still with 2 cables that I don't know where are they from. 1 is blue, the other yellow, and they are both thinner than the rest.

Right now I only have the lower part of the picture connected (so I don't have the 2 plugs on the top for telephone and for cdbox).

Does anyone know where those 2 wires go?

Cheers

José

Sorry to hear about the break in and theft!

Have a look on the 'My GTI' website. All the connectors are detailed on there.

I know its for the RNS510/Columbus, but it is the same quadlock connectors on the Stream.

Thanks, but I'm stil missing 2 thinner cables (yellow and blue) where I don't know where to conenct. Maybe they're related with the telephone commands on the driving wheel (the car originally had moble phone docking, but I removed it a few years ago because I did not used it and it was ugly).

Nevertheless I think the radio is fully working.
