About to order a Fabia VRS estate - limited colour choices?

What have you got then, colour etc.

It is; a Fabia VRS Estate in metal grey metallic with front armrest and bluetooth. I'm not entirely sure on the seat fabric colour or wheel colour but I'm not fussed on the interior colour. The wheels are either black or shadow chrome again I'm not really fussed with either, I'll clarify tomorrow! I used the same guy we bought our last two Yeti's with and it was his day off today so I didn't want to keep him on the phone too long! I need to see if I'm getting the 'lifeshine' treatment free again or whatever it's called and a nice big bag of autoglym gear like we did with the last Yeti too (not that I've used it yet)!

Well done.

Worth seeing about the 5 year warranty before registration, even if you are not keeping it that long.

You might rate Life Shine, but i would rather get something of Real Value instead of it.

I have applied it on many cars over the years, many different Brand names,  & really it is totally pointless.  JIMO.

I did try and get the extended warranty thrown in but wasn't able to get it for free so left it. You can still extend the warranty after factory warranty expires though I think but not sure what is covered and to what extent.

I'm not sure on the lifeshine treatment really but seems ok as a freebie. I know it's probably cack compared to most decent sealant products but I'm not really too into my detailing. We've had our current facelift Yeti since late March and I have to admit to not even cleaning it yet.. it still beads up nice though and the wheels now look anthracite!

The big bag of autoglym products is nice though! Must be at least £100 worth in there and I'm sure they said it was now standard on all new Skodas?

The Fabia will get used much more though so I will clean it now and then!

Awesome! Can't wait to see your new motor. Bluetooth is fantastic. I play music from spotify and deezer through it and it's superb. Fantastic sound quality. Also phone calls are great. I'm looking at getting an armrest.

Kind of agree on the cruise control. So overpriced IMO. It is on my wish list for my fab vrs estate but would only be to up spec my car. I've always had it on my cars and currently have it on our Audi but never use it. It works great don't get me wrong, but it takes the fun out of the driving for me!

There is a member on here who retro fits it I think for around 250 mark...could be wrong on the price. I've heard he does a fantastic job!

I picked 'her' up today, I really like the colour in the flesh, nice and dark in the shade and not to 'stand out' in the sunlight. Quite a stealthy hue.

She goes well too although needs running in obviously, I had to be careful on the way home as after coming from a noisy and uncomfortable Clio as I was all too easily approaching three figures - on clear bits of private runway of course.

I drove her home in manual using paddles and a bit of engine braking when slowing for roundabouts and tight corners like I would in the Clio although with much less revs. I varied my speed on the motorway and had a few 4,5,6 & 7th wide open throttle stints but kept it well below 5k. How long is this recommended for or shall I just use as normal once up to temp?

Even with the restricted revs she still pulls well from low down. The dealer left me half a tank almost but not sure what fuel so I will be topping up with Vmax in the morning. The car has bluetooth and armrest as mentioned before and sport contact 2's fitted.

She could do with some lowering but not sure if I am going to yet.

It does seem a bit basic inside without c/control or nav but those things are luxuries I didn't want to pay for plus the seats are much comfier than I remember from a previous test drive in '12. Only got a couple of rubbish phone pics. I will get more when she gets her first wash!

No life shine treatment or nice big AG goody bag but I have some bits and bobs that I can give her a decent coat of wax with - although I am no detailer!

I did have some free time this afternoon to get two coats of poorboys wheel sealant stuff on after a quick clean before they become caked in brake dust.

Really nice to have another new car that everything works in! Very happy with it!

Enjoy. Looks great.

Maybe try Tesco Momentum 99 if near you,

then later Shell V-power @ £2.25 a tank more and see if you notice any difference.

The engine does not need running in,  well IMO it does not.

but the brakes and tyres and suspension need the newness off them.

Maybe check and set your own tyre pressures to suit, (see what they were set at, at the PDI)

& reset your TPMS afterwards.

Ok it's just getting used now, I'm sure it will loosen up with more miles!

I need to look into the tyre pressure thing and adjusting them. They seem to grip ok just not much feedback of what they are doing other than that!

Well done you, looks really good.

Enjoy the miles ahead.

More photos please.
