Hi all, I had a look through user manual but other than the manual telling me the bolts should be tight (it really does!), does anyone know the wheel bolt torque setting? Tried doing a search only came up with wheel bolt socket size topic (it's 17mm app.)

I would call local dealer but we don't exactly see eye to eye!

mkI and mkII were 120NM, so that can't be far off.

On page 221 of the downloaded manual I found it says:

"The prescribed tightening torque of the wheel bolts for steel and light alloy wheels is 120 Nm."

How odd! I have looked all over page 221 of downloaded manual I have and I can't find it referring to that at all! When I next use car I'll have a look at paper manual, see if it's in there.

Ah yes I see it now! Page 216. I wouldn't say it was exactly easy to find!! Ideally would of been better inserted in changing wheel procedure as well, but what do I know! Thanks all!

But there's no torque wrench included in the tool kit so adding it to the procedure would be much use.

So why put the torque setting in the manual at all then? No, a torque wrench is not included, I think that is very obvious, but it could be put in brackets in change wheel procedure rather than hide it on a different page. If an owner did possess a torque wrench and wanted to use it would save searching is what I was getting at!!!
