Should i make my black 4x4 estate a vrs ?

Featured Replies

With the amount of vrs cars being broken should I make my black elegance 1.8t 4x4 estate look like a vrs ?would the cost to value of the car be worth it ,at the moment it has the shocking yellow interior the only black bits are the carpet and dash top , how much would a vrs 4x4 be worth as the don't exist around the £2500 mark for one like mine with 103k and fssh or am I dreaming ?

Externally you would only need the front bumper and the tailgate.  You could cut the hole in your rear bumper yourself (they are marked on the inside, iirc), and then source a new rear section.

Not sure what you would need internally?  seats, doorcards, gear lever, handbrake(?), steering wheel.

Eitherway I can't imagine this sort of change would dramatically increase the value of the car.  The vRS front bumper hangs lower, so if you have a 4x4 for ground clearance reasons this might cause a problem.

You gonna get rid ??

As it stands there not worth alot

But even if you add Vrs bumper it won't add value just will sell a bit easier hopefully

no im not going to sell clive just weighing up the cost verses future value do u have any black trim parts or seats you want to sell?

Be honest, the cars are too old now to make any significant difference to values - rule that thought straight out !

But, if you do it for you it'll look great and you'll have something fairly unique.

It wont increase the value as said by others but if you want to do it then its your choice but please don't badge it as a VRS.

And don't forget your insurance will go up.

I suppose it depends on what I paid for the car in the first place, don't worry I wont badge it as a vrs maybe a 1.4i

FWIW, no.

Is that your car snow_muncher it looks very nice are they 18s and what suspension are you running?

-not mine, an example of 4x4 estate with vrs body bits on - been done a few times before, but that's the only photo I could find

I think those wheels are OZ Superleggera - probably 17"

Good luck trying to find a front bumper... i know there seems to be loads breaking on here lately,

but they are still uber rare, or silly silly money!

No, you should never make a 4x4 into a VRS, you're supposed to make a VRS into a 4x4, everyone knows that :D

yeah, its dead handy to do it isnt? just some torch cutting, and welding... and replacing...... everything :D

Your better off turning a 4x4 into a taxi :D

I have thought about getting an old plate for the rear and going for the grunge-chic look. If I drive it anywhere on a Friday night though I'd risk puke, fights and worse.

It is good fun though at the traffic light Grand Prix, lots of the loud exhaust brigade around Bridgend whereas the 4x4 creates no fuss or drama pulling away :D
