I have used the search but unfortunately couldn't find an answer to this - very occasionally the doors won't lock using the fob and I have to do it manually - however, a short while later all is well and the fob works again - is this anything to do with syncing the fob??

have you checked the battery in the key? may be on its way out.

I thought it would be that at first but I got the other key and it was the same. I don't use the same key all the time - both keys lie together and I just pick one up on my way out the door.

My 'guess',  both keys batteries are now 4 years old, and new ones will have everything 'tickety boo'.
