Looking good, I'm jealous, or at least I would be if I wasn't so pleased with mine!

Looking nice and shiny, andyvee. Is that Candy White or Moon White?

Candy White - wait until it is detailed :) - the photos are after an afternoon of snow foaming as it was filthy!

Andy very interested in the detailing are you going for the ceramic/nano

Yep, cquartz finest.

Yep, cquartz finest.

Have you had it done before? I ask only because I know of a couple of people who've had CQF, and the gripe seems to be that it shows up faint / spiderweb scratching very easily on the coating. To be fair, this was on black/blue cars, so it may not be an issue at all with white.

Interesting, not something I've heard of. I'll discuss with my detailer :)

Lovin' the way you parallel park across 3 bays!

It's the special version of park assist that comes with the L&K.

Asda was closed and the car park almost empty, I was trying to park under some lights for the photo.

Or I haven't got the hang of park assist yet :)

Who do you use if you don't mind me asking? I know a guy in Bolton/Farnworth who does some sterling work... Ocd in fact ☺

Andy was in a rush for the toilet. As it was he still didnt park in time, as can be seen....... Oh no sorry, thats the seats :D

the Matt black rearguards bumper protector is fitted.

Andy,

I have received the rearguard today for my as yet to be delivered Octavia Estate L&K and although the package quotes the correct reference number it also states that it is for the Skoda Octavia Mk4 and not the Mk3 which is ours.

Do you know if yours was the same or have we missed a new release of car ?

Mine said MK4 as well. Until recently they listed the O3 as the MK4 and the facelift O2 as the MK3!

I hadn't realised that I'd just ordered a Mk.4 L&K. (I won't tell the dealer in case they start asking for more money.)

Anyway, it's a 1.8T DSG with metallic paint (Silver) and a spare wheel. I had been expecting a new car to arrive sometime in February/March, but there's one at the docks in the UK that matches what I was asking for, except for the 4 spoke MFSW. (I'd asked for the DSG paddles, but as this will be my first DSG, it's unlikely I'll miss them.)

So I seem to have given myself a surprise Christmas present.  (Does anyone know a detailer who can wrap the car in Christmas wrapping paper...? ;) )

Pre-detail - let the work commence :)

Yep. Matt Pez on here. He loves cleaning cars so much, he'll do the full works for half the normal price.

Admittedly he doesnt realise this yet :D

Detail as much as you want, white will always show the dirt :D

Are you getting the seats cleaned?

But it won't show the swirl marks and as a bonus, my suspension works!

Does it stop future swirl marks once youve had it detailed does it?

As for the suspension comment- At least mine has character and keeps me awake

Half price deal only buys the services of my 4yr old son, but rest assured that even he knows that if he drops the wash mitt, he has to tell daddy before putting it back on the car!

With the protection that is going on it would take Matt Pez's son to not tell him he had dropped the mitt to get swirl marks :)

And it won't show the dirt as the magic forcefield of CQuartz Finest will repel all dirt :)

So is it OK to get Matt to detail my car a year and many washes after i picked it up? Will it get rid of any possible swirls hiding in the paint work?
