Fog lights with function CORNER

Featured Replies

Hi,

I have a 2012 model and wonder if it is possible to turn off the above function. I can't find anything in the Owners Manual to cover this only a description of what it does. I find it quite irritating at night that they come on even if I am standing stationary but the indicator is on.

cheers, Andy

This has been debated on this forum a few times before!  The manual won't mention switching them off and dealers will probably be reluctant to or tell you that it can't be done however it can be done with VCDS coding

thanks, I thought it would be a pain

My stealer claimed it couldn't be done.

They tell lies.

It can with VCDS coding as already stated.

Hateful function, and I feel and share your anguish. Some like them though ey 'Silve'r?  :notme:

Mine come on when I'm reversing too. Another dopey feature that needs dis-abling.

VCDS turns all that daft stuff of, check the section to find help

Love them myself, but then we live in the dark, dark, wood where animals live in the hidden corners of the roadside. Cornering lights show where they are.

I don't hate them enough to disable them but its the yellowish colour (versus the nice clear xenon light) that I don't like and it just looks odd......same as the fog lights which don't serve any purpose with halogen bulbs

The mtec bulbs are a good match for the xenons also.

The 'haters' tend to live in suburbia where they are of little use.

The 'lover's tend to live out in the sticks where they are a godsend.

I think he is probably more concerned with the larger creatures down our way; ponies, cattle, and pigs in the autumn, all running free! Big dents!!
