Citigo/Aygo Auto Express Road Test.

About time they got rid of the CD player! I haven't used one in years, most people now buy music online and have phones/mp3 players. I even sold my high-end domestic CD player and use a streaming device instead. CDs are increasingly a niche product.

All true. And in an age where vinyl has had a resurgence is now the desirable, high end, niche product - does CD really have any future?

I'm not sure I'd buy a car without a CD player AT ALL though, just at the moment... Interestingly though, and its probably just me, I had a hard drive in the car with my entire collection on it and rarely listened to music in the car as I couldn't decide what to listen to. In the Citigo I take a couple of CDs off the shelf each week to listen to and listen to my collection more than ever.

A little selfish I feel,I have a collection of 300 CDs so as far as I am concerned a CD player is a must have in a car, just because you have no need for a CD player it does not mean we all have to do without,be fair!.

I think like most in car entertainment the cd player will die out much like the cassette players but IMO I hope that doesn't happen, I always keep a cd in the car if the ipod dies I can change over to cd and continue listening to my tunes
