Hi there. I seem to have a problem with my turbo not kicking in when I drive my car. It has been at the mechanics and he has fitted a FMI onto the car and for whatever reason the turbo now does not seem to be kicking in? it has a EGR delete and a DTUK box in the car aswel along with a catless exhaust. Does anyone have any idea why the turbo would not be kicking in? If anyone could shed some light on this it would be much appreciated.

Take it back to the Mechanic who did the work if it was working fine before then perhaps he hasn't done his job properly.

Wonder if he's left the map sensor unplugged or out of it

I would be looking at the MAP sensor too.  It usually plugs in to the side mounted intercooler and "in theory" your upgraded front mount kit should come with the same adaptor type thing somewhere for that sensor.

That would be the DTUK box you stole from me then, thought you had disappeared for good. Still paying by credit card and issuing chargebacks? You owe me £120!!

looks like this thread just proved the theft, take a copy of this post and the paypal information and take it to the police. 

Took it to the police, paypal and citizens advice and got nowhere, even sent him a letter telling him to do the right thing but never got a reply. Two years past May this happened.

Try Action Fraud dude, they may be able to help and weren't around when this happened and might be able to help. I wouldn't be giving up just yet, these scumbags need to be taught a lesson. Had a Stoke lad doing the rounds on the VW forums, through persistence he got his come-uppance (and a right good kicking from one of his neighbours too)
