neuspeed proflow kit

Featured Replies

hi all

just fitted my neuspeed kit and on first impressions seems a very good kit easy enough to fit just a pain with refitting clip back on between the back pipe and maf. my only issue is that i tried to rev it to hear what its like on standstill and it wont rev beyond 4000rpm.  when your moving however its fine just when you sit say at traffic lights it wont rev beyond 4000rpm. so was wondering if this is normal or not ??

thanks all

Don't panic its totally I believe its just a limiter to prevent over revving.

I first noticed it whilst noise testing for a track evening a couple of years ago the tester kept asking for more revs - none came

I've heard that if you turn the traction control off this sometimes allows them to rev higher when not moving. Although I haven't tried this to verify it.

just tryed that anddenton but to no avail but i did discover that if u put it in 1st gear clutch in with handbrake on of course and it will rev all the way threw. so something to do with it being in neutral it just won't rev beyond but thanks all for your help there panic over lol!!
