i've gone down the lazy route and put the vrs in the valeters for a full works ready for the weekend, i got up this morning and had a choice either spend day shining car or pay someone else to shine car and spend the day enjoying this amazing weather, well it wasnt a hard choice to make, so hopefully when i pick her up later she will be gleaming ready to sit on stands all weekend. i know some of you on here really enjoy the car cleaning bit bit i just cant get my head into it, believe me i've tried but it just doesnt rock my boat.

Mine's been cleaned twice - both in it's first week. Now I just hope the dealer cleans it while they're doing the gear cables next week - not got high hopes cos they didn't at service time :(

Hmmmm, at least when you do it yourself you only have yourself to blame if you somehow scratch it etc (we all know how delicate the paint is). I hate leaving mine with anyone, be it for servicing or whatever.

Saw this valeter at my work the other day happily washing down my bosses car, and the golden rule is NOT to wear jewellery (rings, bracelets etc) when cleaning cars. This guy had the biggest pikey'st gold chunky bracelet on, and wash SCRAPING it down the o/s door as he was spongeing it. WHAT A SCOPER.

I've hoovered the interior out. It now needs a shampoo and then the exterior doing and I'm done. I may drive it then.

ross i will take you up on that for sure, just got her back and its the complete works engine etc etc, she looks good.the only downside is the grime on the alloys were covering some major scratches/ gorges, so now im gutted, the valeter did the decent thing and filled them for me to try and disguise them but they will need doing, but he shined the engine and sprayed it with this magic stuff so plenty of bonnet open action this weekend, i will speak to you about that ross, this cost me

yeah deffo on the alloys mate, im really gutted its a show this weekend and my car looks like i spend all day kerbing it, its weird though because the scrathed are white, is that where the alloy coating comes off.

This is the conumdrum you see. You really need a spare set of wheels (not easy i know).

It usually takes him a week to turn them around which is the problem, can leave it in axle stands but it means the car is immobile.

Mates doing my interior tomorrow, should be easy though as it has been supagarded from new...

would be good, the damage is as follows all stupid little bits, scuff on passeger side under light think its bumper black showing through, front spoiler numerous scrapes on speedbumps quite ruff in places underneath, back here's where you laugh, my wife reversed into my car, the boot is slightly dented but no paint broken, underneath the bumper back trim bit is pushed slightly out on one side so when you look at the boot the gap on one side round the edge is slightly more than the other, excell said the clip may be broken or pushed out slightly, they quoted
