Soft99 Fusso coat may be good, but don't write off Sonax BSD just yet!

Featured Replies

Just gave the Yeti its fortnightly clean, having reapplied BSD the last time round. Very little dirt left on it after a snowfoam (BH Auto foam), and it was very quick (even for me) to wash with my usual VP Poseidon shampoo. It's not had anything other than a wash and occasional top up of BSD since Chris & Alan tackled it for an overdue full detail back in March, so I'm really pleased with how it comes up each time**

I must have done a good job, as I've never had the Red Arrows fly over to take a look before ;)

Looking very good indeed mate! :)

Looks very good  - just got a bottle of this today and used it on SWMBOs CRV between rain showers, and its almost the same colour as your Yeti - hoping it lives up to the hype, although over the years I become more and more cynical of the differences between all these products

Not caved in yet and tried Fusso as I have enough products to protect the new Queen Elizabeth for most of her service life, but fingers crossed BSD acts as a good top up product in winter.

Still looking good Martin

I washed and Fusso'd Waynes Superb this afternoon

No doubt he'll add some pictures

We all know bsd is the bomb. But put it on top of fusso, that's gotta be a win win.

I'm leaving fusso alone at the moment to test durability.

Me too

"is the bomb"

That's the current vernacular for what?

I'm down with the kids mike. Lol

:D

Keep up Mike...LOL

Its the ****** of the moment!!

Still none the wiser...thick or what!

hmmmm.... slightly underwhelmed by BSD today. Not sure it helped the look any, but then its a QD by design and people arent making many claims about looks. Beading is definitely a characteristic, with tall obvious beads but it didnt shed water any better than many waxes I've used - got hme from a short drive to town and still water on the bonnet. Having said that, if it lasts well then it would make a good top-up when longevity is the key. Might do better in heavier rain as well I guess? Lets see what happens....

Its doesn't feel as slick as most other QD's BUT I think its the best Ive seen at beading

yep - OID is even slicker than FK425 but certainly doesnt add much if anything to the protection of a finish.

I have some Polycharger sat here the last few years so will add a few drops to BSD and see what that does :D

I read somewhere..might of been DW..a guy added CG v7 to BSd , with great results

The one that really makes me laugh is 'Sick'

If I hear kids say it at school, I say, "Don't be sick...you'll have to clean it up"

BTW it means 'Brilliant'

Yeah, I'm a big fan of `Orange County Choppers` and they use that expression repeatedly!

I might try the cg v7 and bsd mix Chris, what did they mix it at? 50:50?

As good as the BSD has been on the Yeti I was even more impressed with its effect on SWMBO's i10. That only gets cleaned every few months (if that) and last time I did a more thorough job than usual, and topped it off with BSD. This time round it was much easier to clean, with almost nothing left to do after just a pressure wash. Still beaded nicely too. I'll see what it's like in September!

Not sure Carl..But 50:50 seems about right to me

CYC appear to be out of stock of v7 though

I could see a nice mix with FK425 and FK146.

Slickness and anti static performance added to best in class water beading.... Oh yes! :)

Oh dear ...What have I started!!!
