It is the correct spec (504.00 & 507.00) for VAG group cars so I've ordered some for my vRS TDI.

Mine arrived on Thursday AM, checked the oil yesterday and not a drop used in 1150 miles.

It actually arrived today so good times and fair play to Amazon!

You should've been given a litre for topping up. Mine is still sealed after 8500 miles so hopefully I'll not need it.

If they can't throw you in a mere litre of oil in when you've just spent 24K+ with them!

I was disappointed but I did get a 6.5% discount on the 0% & free servicing deal so I'll happily grab some oil myself!

I got a 1L bottle of Castrol Professional Edge 5W30 with mine, just used ½ litre on it just to keep it in mid range on the dipstick.

 

I don't know what the difference is between Professional Edge & the normal Castrol Edge is. But I always like to replace things like for like.

What IS the difference between the Professional and "normal" Edge oils ? When I enquired in Halfords ( & being shocked by their prices, hence my Amazon "normal" Edge purchase) they didn't know for sure, intimating Professional was only for / from the trade.
