Uniroyal Rainsport 3's

Featured Replies

What's the difference between 87Y XL, 83V, 83Y? That's on 205/45/R16

Thanks

Ollie

87 is a higher load rating than 83.. XL means the tyre is reinforced and the difference between V W Y is the speed rating.

Great thanks

Also do these tyres have a good wear rating?

Thanks J, although the tyre wear isn't brilliant, they seem to have quite a decent rating on everything else. I think for the price they seem pretty good.

The other question is, i'm running 205/45/16 at the moment, can i go to 215's on standard alloys & ride height without rubbing on lock?

215's making the tyre wider, i'd keep my 45 profile, but I presume I wouldn't scrape my arches?

I bought Rainsport 2s last year and have had to replace both fronts due to punctures. Never had a puncture before on Bridgestones.

On both occassions it was the tyre wall that ripped on a pot hole!!! I'd not buy Rainsports again.

The Rainsport 3's seem to have quite a higher rating compared to the RS2's. What bridgestones do you run?
