Details

The factory intercooler pipe on 150-180bhp VAG models is a very restrictive flattened pipe (hence its nick name "pancake pipe").

THS's pancake kit, replaces this pipe with a high flow pipe, allowing upto 20% more air flow to the intercooler.

Made from a Stainless Steel construction.

This product only includes the stainless PCR pipe Silicone hoses not included.

This kit removes the bottle necks in the original VAG pipe work and will help improve throttle response and reduce pressure drop between the turbo and intake.

I fitted one and it got holed by the FARB drop link bolt head coz car is low.  The Droplink misses the std pancake coz it is flatter .

 

I think you will have same trouble as me being your car is low too. Although mine was not a THS one and maybe that is a tab smaller as it is not as wide as the end piece the silicon intercooler hose goes on

It fits needs a new mount though u can't use the original one that the pancake pipe uses as it hits the drop link bolt

i sprayed it black as i liked it better.

 

you can make fit if you move the fitting position as Dan states but as i am going for a custom FMIC i will get rid of pancake and fit pipe over engine like Seat LCR

What did u do to make it fit bud ?

The bottom line is after I spoke to PSI tuning their advert now states :-

 

"Does not fit Octavia VRS, TT, Leon Cupra R or cars with over a 40mm drop or large wheels"

 

 

I returned mine to them and got a full cash refund.
