Does elegance estate come with xenons? full spec list?

Featured Replies

Just looking on the skoda site at mk3 octavias, specifically elegance spec.

I find the skoda configurator a little confusing so is anyone able to tell me - Does elegant spec come with xenons? I can't see them listed but headlight washers seem a strange std feature if it doesn't.

Is there anywhere where i can see a full spec list laid out in an easy to follow format?

No, not standard. https://tools.skoda.co.uk/content/brochure/brochure_octavia.pdf

Check Page 30 shows them as optional. Page 32 show headlight washers as a separate/standard option on the Elegance.

Only the L&K and vRS has them standard.

Cheers for the quick responses

I currently have a 2013 vrs estate diesel manual, has anyone got experience of going from such a car to a mk3?  Is there a noticeable increase in refinement?

Yours must be 2012? As 2013 is when Mk3 started... Although with the odd MY dates, maybe you have MY13...

I can't comment from personal experience, but everyone I have seen on here going Mk2 to Mk3 have said it's a well worth it upgrade.

O3 vRS was only available from MY14, so his will be a MY13 MKII as they were produced from Mid-2012.....

Did that exact thing, went from a 2013 Blackline estate DSG to a 2.0 150 Elegance estate manual.

In summary, the manual gearbox IMHO is far nicer than the DSG, the additional effort in gearchanging is worth the loss of auto shifts, it is a nice box and care of excellent power delivery and a nice spread of torque you dont need to change gear all the while.

I think its a bit quicker than the Blackline. The power delivery is considerably better (found the 170hp unit quite flat) and being approx 140kgs lighter means theres next to no difference in power to weight.

Ride/compliancy on standard suspension is much better but still quite firm. Does roll around a bit but its a trade off worth making again IMHO.

Only thing id accuse it of is being a bit boring, lack of go for a 170hp car aside overall I did find the Mk2 a sharper steer and more fun to punt around, I suppose the DSG, more focused suspension and slightly better brakes played a part in that. Overall though the Mk3 is the better car and I dont regret the change as yet. I did however buy it as an exercise to further reduce running costs and end up with a better family cruiser/work mile muncher and its coming up to spec v well on that front.

.....also financially it made alot of sense.

I made money on my Blackline when I traded it at 12 months old by some miracle, but I also ended up with a 3k more expensive car with a reasonable amount of extra standard kit (wasnt like the BL was exactly poverty spec with nav, BT, leather and sensors) and paying nigh on exactly the same per month for it with only a small deposit. The 0% deal the main reason but even now 2.9% APR is v low and could make for a bit of a PCP bargain if you get the right value for your current car....of course does depend how youve funded your existing car and how you plan to fund its replacement.

My current car isn't a blackline as i dilly dallied about the purchase for too long meaning the last blackline available had gone. Its a race blue estate manual 11500 miles with the grey alcantara/red stitching option, rear parking sensors, variable boot floor and a spare wheel. It was paid for cash. No way I would get my money back on it though. I paid approx 18k for it. WBAC recon about 13k for it, what do you recon a skoda dealer would offer for it?

I would say it really depends in which country you are ordering. In Estonia we have Elegance with Bi-Xenons and there is possibilty to add LED day lights for 150 EUR.
