Air filter and decat made car sluggish?

Featured Replies

I've had my vrs about 3 weeks now, fitted an enclosed carbon air filter and ran the cold air feed straight to the front behind the grill and it felt a lot more responsive, I've had a decat the other day and 3rd 4th 5th and 6th seem abit sluggish than when I had the cat on, could this be because I've done them modifications and not had my map done yet? With the car react better to the mods once it's all be mapped? Or is it because I'm used to the standard power now?

Ask Mr Ree he's good with all things sluggish ;):notme: and it could be the map as it's reading falsely because of the oxygen sensors after the decat!

Diesels don't have oxygen sensors. Doing a decat won't cause it to be sluggish even if you had a major blow on the exhaust. You've more than likely disturbed something else or its a coincidence, the amount of times I'd change a bulb and then the next day get "since you worked on my car the rear brakes have stopped working" type *******s. Check for boost leaks first off I'd say
