Lowering Springs on Fabia 1.9tdi

Featured Replies

Friend of mine has just bought a standard 2006 1.9tdi and wants to lower it a little.

Browsing through here the most common option is an Eibach Pro kit. So if this was fitted would it need steering re-alignment and can he use the standard shocks. He is looking to lower between 30-40mm.

Any advice appreciated.

Get the tracking done or go for an alignment check. IMO it'll need correcting to avoid tyre wear.

Yeah definitely check the alignment.

Cheers for the replies. Would a 40mm drop be ok with the standard shocks or should they be changed?

I'd just get the AP lowering kit from DPM, springs and shocks come in at £256

I was curious on this as well, I've fitted JOMS which to me aren't the most comfortable given the mileage I can do although it looks quite sweet at that level. So I'm looking at a 30mm kit, if I keep the Ibiza, to be a good fit, comfortable and handle. Any advice or recommendations, obviously on a budget and don't want to pay too silly money if I go ahead with it.
