Back to the dealers.....again!

Featured Replies

Well we've had the car nearly a year now and it's been back to the dealers today for the fourth time for a warranty fix. This time an airbag light came on with associated warning message, and the dealer took it in and diagnosed a faulty battery not holding it's charge and have changed it...we'll wait and see if this indeed is the cause of its latest hiccup!

Since we got the car, it went back with less than 250miles on the clock and needed a new set of fuel injectors. The second time it went back was for a faulty drivers side window mechanism, which was replaced, and the the third time was for the bolero head unit that had (and still does have, as the fault cannot be found/traced) a mind of its own and will randomly change radio stations or different tracks on a CD, and now this.

Now I'm not one for superstition but this is a 13 plate car, and it will be my last! I love the car and the dealer has been great and prompt in getting these fixed, so it's not all bad, I just get the feeling that some quality corners have been cut, as the mk2 we had ran faultless for two years before we traded it in for this car. I'll give it another year and see what deals can be done on a new vRS around Easter time, the 280ps vRS might be on the scene then!

Sorry to hear you've had problems, how many miles have you done ?

It's got just over 14k on the clock now. This'll be my sixth car bought from new, and it's the one that's had the most issues by far, it might just be the mythical Friday afternoon car!

14k - wow mines just hit 23k!
