Motorcycle chase !

This was obviously filmed on the autobahn and totally legal....cough, cough !

I only saw 299kph on the camera bike not 300kph as claimed lol.

I my self am a 300kph ( indicated on autobahn going to the ring ) man on my old R1 which is 186mph in English money.

Been wondering where the evidence for this  'bad reputation for bikers' had been coming from.

Pair of them need locking up and  banning for life.

P'raps the back of  an HGV or a  tree with their name on it might stir their obvious one and only  brain cell into realising the severity of the error of their disgraceful behaviour on a public 2 laned highway?

No problem with that if the conditions dictate suitabilty.

Did a shown 135 mph on possibly the same autobahn you mention, but it was pretty quiet and done with maximum concentration and with NO illegal maneuvers, unlike that pair of utter goon heads.,

Wonder if the rozzers have been in touch with meh zaza yet?  :notme:

Wow, high speed in a straight line, what skills they have combined with totally responsible overtakes!

Total idiots giving all bikers a bad name.

Any fool can drive or ride fast - it takes skill to be in control!

Yes these guys are mental for sure. I've done the same speeds once on a almost empty autobahn in perfect conditions in a straight line which was 100% legal. In the last 14 years I've been driving Autobahns I've seen some seriously fast cars( mainly Porsche Gt3 's ) which have past me in the Ibiza Diesel at what looked liked top speed of 193 mph. I had to check my speedo as I thought I'd stopped but I was showing 100mph lol.

More luck there than skill! And jeans and trainers??? Fools

A tyre blow out would have been interesting at those speeds.

These bikes are barely half way through the gearbox at 135mph.

I dont see speed itself as dangerous. Its differentials in speed that cause problems.

Its the overtakes that make me cringe.

APPROPRIATE speed is not dangerous, and don't think anyone has suggested otherwise thus far on this thread.

None of that was appropriate though.

Just glad that by the grace of God that no innocent person was hurt...this time.

Going onto the hard shoulder at that speed.... The MOST stupid move ever,........ Glad it did not turn into one of those FATAL statistics.

NOT big, and NOT clever...

You should NOT be proud of this.

4:12 scares me.  How did he see that coming?

+1 on this.

What happens if some poor sod was walking down the hard shoulder because their car has broken down? Not so common these days with better mobile signal but you do occasionally see it.

Personally I have nothing against appropriate speed. I've even got points for doing 80odd on a uk motorway when it was empty, good weather etc etc - I never bothered fighting it as I was in the wrong. but I wouldn't say this is appropriate at all.

If you want to risk your own life fine, just try not to kill anyone else.

Not sure how it would react at those speeds but a friend had a blow out on his Hayabusa a few years back while travelling at high speed, for whatever reason the valve actually blew so it was a reasonably rapid deflation, yet he said he barely noticed it.  Bike tyres are different construction to car tyres and give a some support even with no air, probably different it the wall got shredded though.  I had a flat several years back and only realised something was up when the handling became sloppy.

Still wouldn't be a nice experience though.

I only quoted you to say 135mph is barely moving for these things. Theyll do 70mph in first gear.

I know nobody suggested speed is dangerous, i was just saying :/.

They don't do do 70mph in first gear most litre bikes can do just over 100mph. This is one of the reasons I gave up riding as with so much performance at your right wrist you'll get into big trouble very easily. If you don't use what the manufactures designed them to do it would be pointless owning one. The race track is the natural habitat of these machines.

Really? A bmw s1000rr does 80mph in first gear, i know that much.

Yeah i have that view too mate. Im currently looking for a new bike, but just dont see the point in a litre sports bike.

I'll be having a vfr800 i think. Enough performance for me. Should do what i want it to i hope

Looking at the original clip, I initially thought they should be prosecuted for dangerous driving but I reckon in time, they will find the results of driving like that -all it takes is a car in the hard shoulder or another car making a manoeuvre without realising they are there and they will be getting picked up in pieces.

I pity the people who will have to deal with the carnage they will cause.

The VFR is a good choice ! All you'll ever need! I like the BMW GS1000 flat twin . Slow but good to ride. My mate had one and he use to race in the Manx gp IOM and he said it was enough for the road.

I thought that initially but lets face it,at 180Mph+ a set of leathers isn't going to help keep you alive if you come off.

Help keep the bits together for the paramedics at least.

You'd be surprised. As long as you don't hit a car, wall lamp post ect they offer surprising protection. A friend of mine fell off once at 115mph and luckily didn't hit anything and suffered just a few grazes and he was wearing my old texport leathers that i'd already tested at cascades at Oulton park so they weren't I perfect condition.

Last season Marquez fell off at 212mph (on the track obviously) and was fine apart from a bruised chin but he is a captain scarlet.

Pretty bloody stupid.

But once the red mist hits you think you are invicible!

Re the 'what if someone had been on the hard shoulder' comments; There was at 1:27, under a bridge.

Cheers :).

Iv just sold an Sv650. People slate them abit, being a 70hp vtwin. But in all honesty, its plenty for the road. Still gets up to 100mph fast enough n from there on is a licence loser anyway

Ah youd get along well with my dad then. Hes a big bmw man. Had them for years and years. Hes currently got a bmw r1200gs adventure and a bmw r45 (thinkin changing it to an r65, cos apparently most the engine is the same anyway.
