Heated seats with Kufatec loom

Featured Replies

Hi Sam

On the wiring diagram I sent you, if you look at wiring diagram towards the end pages. Look for the page headed " Fitting Locations No.2/7" and it shows a picture of the CCM, you want plug XS2 according to page "Fitting Locations No.2/8" and the pin numbers T18b/3 and T18b/10 as you mentioned above. There is a typo on this page as it refers to both as drivers side, but you can refer back to page "Current Flow Diagram No 31/2 & 31/3" to confirm driver/passenger side.

It might be worth chasing Kufatec for the Polo 9N instructions as apart from the switches everything else should be pretty similar.

Keep us up to date as I'm going to have a go at this in August/September.

Well a proper thanks goes to Bogwoppit for helping me so much, found plug xs2 which is T18b on the manual, the ccm is actually labeled xs2 which is helpful and kufatec sent me the wire information:

violet line - control unit DC power plug XS2 in Pin 10

yellow line - control unit DC power plug XS2 in Pin 3

So all i need to do is add a fuse, think i may as well put it in the proper fuse box location and then its done!

Sounds good, no need to thank me as I will probably be asking you for help soon when I do mine. :D

The fuse box location bit is the one part I'm not sure of thats why I'm kicking my heels a bit.

When you have done it, I may ask you a couple of questions:

Where do you get the supply from to feed the new fuse position? Do you have to run a new wire from the battery or are there some spare supply terminals behind to fuse box to spur from?

Let us know when you have enabled it off VCDS and it is all working.

I have enabled it in vcds, well the passenger seat heated up a bit. I didnt leave it on long though, drivers seat isnt in yet as its raining ao cant be bothered taking it out garage. Regarding the power i used this guide:

http://www.briskoda.net/forums/index.php?app=core&module=attach&section=attach&attach_id=9982

Page 4 shows where the power comes from, i need to find some vag terminals so i can run the wire into the fusebox

Sorry i didnt realise my inbox was full. My seats have been done for a while and work apart from staying on low when ignition is off.

Ive no guide for the Fabia, i just worked it out by laying it out and looking on this forum.

Am I correct in saying; green plugs are into the seats.

Black plugs in the dash switches.

Masse (ground) to a metal something.

KL30 - permanent live. (Could you not use an ignition live?)

KL58b - illumination off the radio wire or sidelight switch?

The last two go into the comfort control module?

Hi yes thats correct wire details and yes KL30 would be better as an ignition live but i never looked into a good option as i think it would need to be able to handle a decent current draw.
